Tech support engineer

We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to provide all technical support for handling customer requests and maintaining the on-premise services in order to maintain the quality of products and customer satisfaction. The products are malware storage and analysis tools where users can search and download malware samples from a Hadoop based database, and they can analyze malware sample in a completely safe sandbox environment and run integrated semi-automated analysis tools.   • Handle customer questions and requests

  • Communicate and troubleshoot operational issues supporting a complex environment

  • Respond, troubleshoot and resolve production alerts

  • Analyze trends to pro-actively prevent incidents

  • Initiate Incident Response for outages

  • Participate in Product Updates and Maintenance

  • Assist in security vulnerability and remediation

  • Operate effectively in a 5x8 environment

  • Provide feedback to internal teams on how to improve the company's services

  • Help the development team to improve the maintainability of the system

  • Improve the documentation with support cases

  • Requirements

  • Linux/Unix administration

  • Ability to monitor and analyze system logs

  • 2 years of experience in monitoring site reliability and performance

  • Scripting knowledge (e.g., Shell, Python)

  • Understanding of networking standard protocols and components

  • Knowledge of virtualization or containerization tools, or Hadoop

  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure

  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly with some support and guidance

  • Fluent in English and Hungarian (both written and spoken)

  • Effective communications skills with customers
