Data is only processed for a specific purpose and Ukatemi processes data only if one of the legal bases specified in this Notice exists and only for the duration of the relevant legal basis.

  • business communications and other online business interactions.

Additional or different privacy notices may apply to our services and offline interactions.  If a different or supplemental privacy notice applies, this will be clearly disclosed to you.  This Privacy Notice does not apply to the personal data that we collect about employees and other personnel, contractors, or applicants and candidates.

Purpose of this Notice

This Privacy Notice explains how we process personal data, and also sets out individuals’ rights related to our processing of such data.

 

Personal data we collect 

We may collect personal data in the course of our business, including through your use of our website, when you contact us or request information from us online. When we require personal data from you in order to fulfill a statutory or contractual requirement, or where such information is necessary to enter into a contract or is otherwise an obligation, we will inform you and indicate the consequences of failing to do so.

If you register with us via our website, sign up to receive information from us, or communicate with us through or related to the site, we may collect the following personal data:

  • your name (first and last name), company and job title;
  • contact information for you, including email address and/or phone number;
  • the topic you want to contact us about;
  • your IP-address, operation system and web browser type and version if the link between these data and you can be established by Ukatemi.

Ukatemi does not process sensitive personal data, and we do not knowingly collect, store, share or use the personal data of children.

 

Purpose and legal basis of processing

We may use personal data for the following purposes, in each case as justified by the referenced legal basis:

  • Customer relations and communication
    We displayed some of our e-mail addresses, and have a contact form on the site. Clicking on one of the e-mail addresses activates your e-mail software and invites you to send your comments to a specific mailbox. When you send such a message, your personal data is collected only to the extent necessary to communicate with you, to respond to your inquiries. If you have any questions about the processing of your e-mail and related personal data, do not hesitate to include them in your message. When you use the contact form, your personal data is also collected only to the extent necessary to reply.
    • According to Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, the processing is based on the consent of the data subject, i.e. on your consent.
  • Service management and development, marketing
    We may use personal data in order to respond to Requests for Proposals (“RFPs”), prepare for and present pitches and other proposals, and identify potential business opportunities. Largely, this involves our collection and use of non-personal business information about current, former and prospective corporate clients. However, we may also process limited personal data about individuals (name, company, title, contact information).
    • According to Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, the processing is based on the consent of the data subject, i.e. on your consent.
  • Client insight and analytics
    We use the information we collect to measure the effectiveness of our online content and how visitors use our website, so that we can improve the site, our customer relations and services, develop new features. Analyzing this dataset allows us to learn what pages of our site are most attractive to our visitors, which parts of the site are the most interesting, and what kind of offers our customers or potential customers like to see.
    • According to Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, the processing is based on the legitimate interest of Ukatemi to improve its customer relations and services. You have the right to object against the process of your personal data regarding this purpose.
  • Prevent misconduct, abuse and misuse
    We use personal data to protect and secure our website and our information systems and networks.

Duration of the data processing, retention of personal data

Ukatemi processes the data

  • until withdrawal of the data subject’s consent;
  • in respect of the relevant purposes, as long as the legitimate interest relating to such purposes exists; or
  • until receipt of notification of changes in the contact person’s details.

In general, we retain relevant personal data of site visitors for two years from the date of our last interaction with you and in compliance with our obligations under applicable laws, or for longer if we are required to do so according to our regulatory obligations or professional indemnity obligations, or where we believe necessary to establish, defend, or protect our legal rights and interests or those of others. In the latter case, the data are retained for the duration of the enforcement of rights.

 

Profiling and sharing your personal data

Ukatemi does not use the data for profiling, and does not disclose it to any third party except where requested by an authority or court also specifying the legal basis for disclosure or where it is necessary for the enforcement of a right.

Ukatemi does not use data processors or third party contractors for processing of personal data.

We are committed to keeping personal data secure and we have implemented appropriate information security policies, rules and technical measures to protect the personal data that we have under our control from unauthorized access, improper use or disclosure, unauthorized modification and unlawful destruction or accidental loss. The website and Ukatemi’s information system and network serving it are all protected against computer fraud, espionage, sabotage, vandalism, fire and flood as well as against hacking and denial-of-service attacks. Please note that no transmission over the Internet is completely secure or error-free, and that the information security policies, rules and technical measures utilized and maintained by us may be subject to compromise.     You have the right not to be subject to a decision when it’s based on automatic processing, including profiling, if it produces a legal effect or similarly significantly affects you, unless such profiling is necessary for entering into, or the performance of, a contract between you and us.
  • right to withdraw consent
    If we rely on your consent (or explicit consent) as our legal basis for processing your personal data, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time.
  • right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority
    In case of any breach relating to the data processing, you may turn to the court that has jurisdiction according to the head office of Ukatemi LLC. or your home or residence address. Please note that some of these rights may be limited where we have an overriding legitimate interest or legal obligation to continue to process the personal data.

We may also make changes as required to comply with changes in applicable law or regulatory requirements.
